I bet you are vegan too! You simply gain a lot more per win and lose a lot less per loss than you do in Arena. I think the reason is partly that the length of a Battleground is longer than an Arena match, so the rewards are scaled up — rating gains included. When you win; you get rating. Your team rating will decide what teams you end up against. Leaving an arena or rated battlegrounds will give a 1 minute debuff the first time, increasing to 5, 10, 15 and 20 minutes if the debuff is repeatedly earned.
